wow… its crazy how we have come such a long way from what this doctor or guy was saying in this video and todays treatments for tinnitus, which are 10x more effective and now we even understand the situation much much better.We know now the origin is the misfiring of the neurons mostly due to a lot of different causes.Buts thats really where it comes down to.The perception of sound in the absence of sound.
You can even get tinnitus by strongly focusing on sound thats originating from the brain

I only searched on google and youtube really…and you obviously know more then me, I hope, like you, that we will be able to replace the broken parts in the future, and if they already did it on rats I’d say it’s not much waiting left probably. You said that they get closer to have a cure for tinnitus any day from now. Where do you get your information? I also has Tinnitus and really want to keep myself updated to possible ”solutions”. Cause i want this shit to stop. They already replaced the cilia’s in a rats ear so it could hear again. Hope this works on humans also soon, so we can get our damaged parts replaced and the ringing stops. Although i don’t know where to get my information. does someone knows?

I’ve had mine for 2 years. It really interferes with my life. Especially when you dedicate it to music.
I’ve had ringing for 23 days straight now after a concert. When I put plugs in, it makes it so all I can hear is the ringing. When I unplug them, it goes away for a bit but comes right back. But with the plugs and hearing nothing but the ringing is almost too much to take.
Do talk to someone about it, someone who listens. All we can do is wait so…be brave and do so. take care

cry it out man… they are doing research and getting closer to a solution/cure every day. I know it’s fucking hell to have that ringing believe me I have it too (not for that long but I know what awaits me) it’s madness…but in a hopefully soon to be future we will be able to make it stop.
I had meningitis when i was about a year old and barely survived im now cursed with never having the ability to hear silence… ever… i can never sleep unless i have white noise playing this is a horrible curse.

@lizichell2 yea ive gotten used to the noise it doesnt bother me to much but its always there one of the worst parts is people not believing me or ill be with my friends and ill be so loud the just dont wanna be around me or people who dont speak up…ive done a lot of nodding and smiling for about a yr n a half now
